Actor Yossif Sarchadjiev has passed away at the age of 78, according to his daughter Ana Sarchadjieva, as reported by BTA. His death was announced today after a private funeral held in a small circle, as per his wishes to be remembered for his contributions to Bulgarian cultural life rather than his passing. Sarchadjiev had an extensive career spanning over 60 theatrical roles, more than 50 film appearances, 30 television productions, and over 100 radio programs. He performed in notable works such as 'Hercules in the Augias' by Friedrich Dürrenmatt, 'The Cherry Orchard' by Anton Chekhov, and 'Macbeth' by William Shakespeare. He also starred in several films including 'Die Only in Extreme Cases', 'Tsunamis with Soft Names', and 'The Khan Asparuh'. Sarchadjiev received multiple awards for acting excellence, including the 'Asker' award in 2010 for comprehensive artistic achievement.
