Researchers monitored microclimatic conditions and noted that winter temperatures remain extremely low, with last year recording a minimum of -22°C. Even during summer, cold air flows from caves influence surface areas, allowing snow to persist in some locations until August. The study found that ancient ice formations in certain caves, some over 3,000 years old, are diminishing due to rising surface temperatures.
