A journalist from Tuzla, Edin Skokić, has filed a criminal complaint against Bosnian basketball star Jusuf Nurkić, alleging he was subjected to psychological violence, harassment, and intimidation through social media. The complaint was confirmed by the spokesperson of the Canton Prosecutor's Office in Tuzla, who stated that an investigation into the alleged actions has been initiated. According to Skokić, the conflict began before last year’s EuroBasket tournament after he wrote a critical article about Nurkić and the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team. Nurkić reportedly posted a comment on Facebook criticizing the Basketball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which led Skokić to write a critical piece titled 'Shut up and train.' Later, Nurkić allegedly used AI to create images mocking Skokić and posted them publicly. The situation escalated further when Skokić learned that Nurkić had attended his son’s basketball training session, prompting him to file the formal complaint and consider additional legal action.
