Members of the Winegrowers' and Fruit Growers' Association Organised for cycling: wine and passion for cyclists

The members of the Association of Vineyard Owners and Growers from Odranci organized an active and social day on Saturday, cycling through the municipalities of Odranci and Beltinci. The event coincided with the 35th anniversary of Slovenia’s independence, marking a celebration of local vineyards and traditions. Around 35 members participated, using the summer season for pleasant vineyard gatherings. The association focuses on viticulture and producing high-quality white and red wines, managing vineyards in Prekmurje, Prlekija, and neighboring Medžimurje in Croatia. They also maintain traditional orchards and grapevines at the Cultural Heritage Center in Odranci, producing organic red wine. Cyclists gathered at the cultural center, where they were welcomed by president Silvester Kuzma, then cycled through villages, stopping for refreshments and traditional meals. They visited Lipa village, enjoying locally made dishes and tasting wines from residents. The event concluded successfully at the cultural center, marking the end of the regional wine-growing season.

Le uro iz Ljubljane se skriva slovenska Toskana, kjer se zgodba vina začenja v zimskem rezu in se zaključi v kozarcu. To je zgodba, ki je nekdo znan, a večina obiskovalcev ne pozna. Vzhodno od Ljubljane, v regiji Slovenskih Konjic, se nahaja vinogradna klet Zlati grič, kjer se prideluje vrhunsko vino. Tukaj se ne le prideluje vino, temveč se ustvarja zgodba, ki se razvija skozi celotno leto in vključuje več sto ljudi, ki so del tega procesa. Vse začne z odločitvijo, ki se odloči v zimskem rezu, kjer se zasebni vinogradniki odločijo, katera sorta bo rasti na določeni legi. Ta odločitev vpliva na vse, kar se kasneje zgodi – od zrelosti grozdja do končnega vina. Vse to je del integriranega pristopa, ki omogoča ohranjanje ravnovesja med človekom in naravo, brez uporabe insekticidov in mineralnih gnojil. Takšen pristop omogoča ne samo kakovostno vino, temveč tudi ohranja življenje koristnih organizmov v vinogradu. Vse to se dogaja v zimskem rezu, ki je prvi korak v ciklu, ki vodi do končnega vina.

Vse leto se v vinogradu izvaja niza del, ki so ključni za kakovost grozdja, ki bodo v kleti pretvorjena v vino. To vključuje zelena dela, kot so odstranjevanje odvečnih poganjkov, ter skrb za to, da grozdje dobi dovolj sonca in zraka. Vsak tak poseg ima svoj namen, ker je kakovost grozdja osnova za kakovost vina. Vse to se dogaja v skrivnosti, medtem ko obiskovalci obiskujejo klet ali uživajo v vini. Vodja del v vinogradih, Sandi Fideršek, opozarja, da je to delo, ki ga obiskovalci redko vidijo. Ključna je tudi uradna skrb za urejenost vinogradov, ki ustvarjajo nepozabno veduto, ki jo gosti vedno znova občudujejo. V zadnjih 20 letih se je začetek trgatve premaknil za skoraj ves mesec prej, kar zahteva več pozornosti pri spremljanju zrelosti grozdja. To pomeni, da so vinogradniki vse bolj vpleteni v proces, ki vodi do končnega vina.

Glavni enolog, Sašo Topolšek, prevzame štafeto, ko grozdje doseže optimalno zrelost. Njegovo delo začne že med trtami, ker mora način nege in pridelave grozdja skozi vse leto prilagajati želenemu značaju posameznega vina. Njegova funkcija je vloga opazovalca, ker vino se rodi v vinogradu, v kleti ga le spremljamo. Kljub temu, da je vinarstvo poznan od mladih let, opisuje svoje delo predvsem kot vlogo opazovalca. To pomeni, da je vino rezultat dolgoročnega pristopa, ki vključuje vse od zimskih odločitev do končnega vina. Vse to se dogaja v skrivnosti, medtem ko obiskovalci obiskujejo klet ali uživajo v vini, ki je rezultat tega kompleksnega procesa.

V istem času se v regiji Odranci potekajo druge dejavnosti, ki povezujejo vinogradništvo z družbeno in kulturno življenjem. Člani Društva vinogradnikov in sadjarjev Odranci so organizirali kolesarjenje, s katerim so zaznamovali 35-letnico samostojne Slovenije. Dogodek je bil aktivno in družabno zadevno, z udeležbo 35 članov in članic društva. Kolesarji so se zbrali v Centru kulturne dediščine v Odrancih, kjer so bili pozdravljeni predsednikom društva Silvester Kuzmo. Nato so kolesarili skozi vas Odranci in Beltinci, kjer so se ustavili na prigrizku. Pot je potekala skozi različne kraje, kjer so kolesarji poskusili izbrana vina svojih stanovskih kolegov. Vse to je pokazalo, kako je vinogradništvo vključeno v kulturno in družbene dejavnosti, ki združujejo ljudi in ustvarjajo spoštovanje za tradicijo in kakovost.
