The golden lyre of Tuchel to the Maribor Chamber Choir by Hugo Wolf

The Maribor Chamber Choir Hugo Wolf won the major prize at the 17th international competition 'Golden Linden Tree' in Croatia. They also received a special award for contemporary music. Dora Ožvald was named the best soloist. The choir, led by vocal pedagogue Aleš Marčič and young conductor Mete Podlesnik Marčič, consists of 40 singers. Two other Slovenian choirs, Ljubljana Vocal Academy and Mixed Choir Prosavus from Trbovlje, were among the six finalists. Ljubljana Vocal Academy received a special recognition for the best program selection, while Prosavus got an award for the best performance

Mariborski Komorni zbor Hugo Wolf je ta teden osvojil veliko nagrado na letošnjem že 17. mednarodnem tekmovanju Zlata lipa Tuhlja na Hrvaškem. Kot so sporočili organizatorji, so v konkurenci 16 zborov iz Hrvaške, Bosne in Hercegovine ter Slovenije prejel tudi posebno priznanje za sodobno skladbo, Dori Ožvald pa je pripadel naziv najboljše solistke.

Zbor združuje 40 pevk in pevcev

Mariborski zbor, ki pod umetniškim vodstvom pevskega pedagoga Aleša Marčiča in mlade dirigentke Mete Podlesnik Marčič združuje 40 pevk in pevcev, je v sklepnem nastopu šestih zlatih zborov v Tuheljskih Toplicah osvojil veliko nagrado zlata lipa in postal absolutni zmagovalec tekmovanja.

Med šesterico finalistov sta se uvrstila še dva slovenska zbora, in sicer Vokalna akademija Ljubljana ter Mešani pevski zbor Prosavus iz Trbovelj. Prva je prejela posebno priznanje za najboljšo izbiro programa, drugi pa za najboljšo izvedbo folklorne skladbe. Za najboljšega dirigenta je bil razglašen Tine Bec iz ljubljanske vokalne skupine, Petra Pograjc iz trboveljskega pevskega zbora pa za najboljšo mlado dirigentko.

Tekmovanje poteka že 17 let

O nagradah je odločala strokovna komisija, v kateri so bili Antoaneta Radočaj-Jerković iz Hrvaške, Zorica Kozlovački iz Srbije in Tadeja Vulc iz Slovenije. Tekmovanje že 17 let gosti Kulturno umetniško društvo (KUD) Naša lipa Tuhelj, v tem času pa so gostili že 153 zborov iz sedmih držav, tekmovanje pa predstavlja enega pomembnejših regionalnih zborovskih dogodkov.

Komorni zbor Hugo Wolf ustanovljeno leta 2010

Komorni zbor Hugo Wolf so na pobudo Društva nemško govorečih žena Mostovi iz Maribora ustanovili leta 2010 ob 150. obletnici rojstva skladatelja slovenskih korenin Huga Wolfa. Glavni cilj delovanja zbora je skozi glasbo povezovati različne kulture, kar predstavlja vodilo pri izboru literature in sestavi koncertnih programov. Zbor posveča posebno pozornost obujanju spomina na pozabljene skladatelje in glasbenike, ki so bili na tak ali drugačen način povezani z Mariborom.

Zbor kmalu čaka nov mednarodni izziv, saj bodo sodelovali še na mednarodnem zborovskem tekmovanju v francoski Provansi, ki bo od 4. do 7. julija potekalo v Saint Raphaelu.
