Slovenski kanuisti in kanuistke v finalu tretje tekme svetovnega pokala v slalomu na divjih vodah v nemškem Augsburgu niso posegli po odru za zmagovalce. Oba pred tekmo vodilna skupnem seštevku Eva Alina in Žiga Lin Hočevar v finalu nista najbolje opravila s progo in zaostala za najboljšimi.
Eva Alina Hočevar, ki je v Augsburg prišla kot vodilna v seštevku kanuja po drugem mestu v Tacnu in četrtem v Pragi, je v kvalifikacijah z dvema kazenskima sekundama zasedla četrto mesto. V finalu se ji je nastop povsem ponesrečil, že po prvih vratcih je prevrnila čoln. S štirimi sekundami pribitka in zaostankom 24,98 sekunde je bila 11.
Bolje se je v finalu odrezala druga slovenska finalistka Lea Novak . Ta je finale za las ujela z 12. mestom in se prva pognala na progo. Na koncu je z zaostankom 4,28 sekunde osvojila sedmo mesto. V kvalifikacijah je bila 23. Alja Kozorog . V ženskem finalu je slavila Avstralka Jessica Fox pred Španko Nurio Vilarrubla in Čehinjo Martino Satkovo . Slednja je s tem prevzela vodstvo v skupnem seštevku pokala, kjer ima zdaj štiri točke prednosti pred Hočevar (137-133).

Sledil je moški finale, kjer je Žiga Lin Hočevar po tretjem mestu v kvalifikacijah lovil nove stopničke, potem ko je dobil domačo tekmo v Tacnu, četrti je bil v kanuju v Pragi. V finalu njegova vožnja ni bila tako tekoča, še z dvema kazenskima sekundama je bil na koncu sedmi, za zmagovalcem Italijanom Raffaellom Ivaldijem je zaostal 3,15 sekunde.
Ivaldi je za vsega sedem stotink sekunde prehitel Britanca Adama Burgessa , tretji je bil Slovak Matej Benuš . Je pa Hočevar ostal na prvem mestu v seštevku pokala, kjer je drugi zdaj Burgess, tretji pa še en Slovenec Luka Božič . Slednji danes sicer ni prišel do finala, v kvalifikacijah je s pribitkom dveh kazenskih sekund osvojil 20. mesto. V finalu je od Slovencev veslal še Benjamin Savšek, ki je bil v kvalifikacijah 11. A v finalu ni pravilno prevozil dveh vratc in s 100 kazenskimi sekundami pristal na 12. mestu.
V nedeljo bodo v Augsburgu še boji v kajakaškem krosu, od Slovencev so za nastope prijavljeni Lea Novak, Naja Pinterič , Eva Alina Hočevar, Jakob Šavl i in Žiga Lin Hočevar. Že v petek so svoje naloge v slalomu opravili kajakašice in kajakaši. Od Slovencev sta se v finale prebila le zmagovalka iz Tacna Eva Alina Hočevar, ki je bila osma, in Peter Kauzer, ki je bil 11.
