UN: At least 90 dead and 12,000 infected in epidemic!

The United Nations Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported at least 90 deaths and over 12,000 infections due to a cholera outbreak in Nigeria's Borno State. The outbreak began in early May and has seen an increase in both fatalities and cases since initial reports. Humanitarian organizations are intensifying efforts to treat patients, monitor disease spread, and ensure access to clean water to support Nigerian authorities in containing the epidemic. Additional funding has been allocated by OCHA to strengthen emergency response measures, though further resources are said
