V neděli mnozí oslaví den otců. A mnozí také ne. Tento svátek je totiž na rozdíl od Vánoc, kterým se vzhledem ke kulturně podmíněným obyčejům pravděpodobně nevyhnete, volbou, stejně jako rodičovství samotné. A protože už (doufejme) nežijeme ve společnosti, kde celá zodpovědnost za rodinu, chod domácnosti a s tím spojené rodičovství padala na ramena ženám, je výchova dětí a rozhodnutí, zda-li se stát či nestát rodičem, také otázkou pro muže.

Porodnost v Česku nadále klesá. Až do roku 2022 se u nás rodilo přes sto tisíc dětí ročně, loni to bylo o téměř 23 tisíc méně. Což je mimochodem nejméně od roku 1785 . Data z dřívější doby přitom
