VIDEO: Footage of the fall of the Russian 'shadow fleet': Watch the special British operation

The British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, confirmed that British forces intercepted a ship from the so-called Russian 'shadow fleet' in the English Channel. The vessel, named Smyrtos, has been detained near the southern coast of England for investigation due to potential environmental and security risks. Starmer described the operation as another blow against Russia and warned those funding Vladimir Putin's war in Ukraine that they cannot hide. Podsjetimo, brod Smyrtos premješten je i usidren uz južnu obalu Engleske, gdje će biti pod nadzorom zbog mogućih ekoloških i sigurnosnih rizika

Britanske snage prvi su put presrele tanker iz tzv. ruske “sjenovite flote” u Engleskom kanalu, potvrdio je britanski premijer  Keir Starmer.  Kako piše  Sky News,  u objavi na društvenoj mreži X, Starmer je poručio kako operacija predstavlja “još jedan udarac Rusiji” te upozorio one koji, kako navodi, financiraju rat Vladimira Putina u Ukrajini da se ne mogu sakriti. Zahvalio je pripadnicima oružanih snaga i policije, istaknuvši njihovu stalnu ulogu u osiguravanju sigurnosti zemlje. Sada je britanski premijer na svom X profilu objavio snimku britanskog upada na spomenuti brod.

U operaciji koja je trajala šest sati sudjelovali su pripadnici Kraljevskih marinaca te posebno obučeni službenici britanske Nacionalne agencije za borbu protiv kriminala, uz potporu Kraljevskog ratnog zrakoplovstva. Tanker Smyrtos zadržan je uz južnu obalu Engleske, gdje će ostati pod nadzorom dok traje istraga, objavilo je britansko Ministarstvo obrane, javlja  BBC .

-Ova uspješna operacija zadala je još jedan udarac Rusiji i podsjetila sve koji financiraju rat  Vladimira Putina  protiv Ukrajine da im nećemo dopustiti da se skrivaju- poručio je Starmer na svom X-u.

Podsjetimo, brod  Smyrtos  premješten je i usidren uz južnu obalu Engleske, gdje će biti pod nadzorom zbog mogućih ekoloških i sigurnosnih rizika. Riječ je o prvom slučaju da je jedan brod iz ruske “sjenovite flote” zaustavljen u britanskim vodama, nakon što je britanska vlada u ožujku odobrila mogućnost da vojska i policija ukrcavaju i pregledavaju takva plovila.
