Od avgusta ove godine goste restorana, kafića i hotela širom Evropske unije čeka važna promena, jer se novom Uredbom o ambalaži i ambalažnom otpadu uvodi stroga zabranu korišćenja plastične ambalaže za jednokratnu upotrebu.

Do ove uredbe članicama EU je bilo prepušteno da svaka na svoj način rešava pitanje ambalažnog otpada , s nekim osnovnim okvirnim smernicama, prenosi HRT.

Kako se navodi, ubuduće će biti zabranjeno korišćenje takozvanih večnih hemikalija u pakovanjima za hranu, koje su toksične za organizam. Druga odredba odnosi se na volumen pakovanja, jer se zabranjuje više od 50 odsto praznog prostora u ambalaži.

Prva naredna velika promena sledi u februaru naredne godine, jer će od tada svi ugostiteljski objekti morari da dozvole gostima donošenje sopstvenog pakovanja za preuzimanje hrane ili pića.

Cilj Evropske unije je da se do 2030. godine reciklira najmanje 70 odsto onog što nije plastika i najmanje 50 odsto svega što je plastika, jer su brojke alarmantne kada je reč o otpadu.
