A smaller plane crashed near Vrsar, reportedly carrying two Slovenians.

A small aircraft crashed near the airport in Vrsar, Croatia, killing two Slovenian men aged 57 and 72. According to Croatian media reports, the pilot was a member of the Vrsar Aero Club and regularly flew between Vrsar and Celje. The pilot intended to fly towards Celje but the gyrocopter (a hybrid of an airplane and helicopter) crashed shortly after takeoff. Both men were found outside the aircraft with minor injuries and were treated at the scene before refusing further medical attention. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the relevant traffic accident investigation agency.

Čeprav so jima zaradi okoliščin nesreče priporočili dodatno bolnišnično obravnavo, sta jo oba zavrnila in podpisala izjavo o odklonitvi nadaljnjega zdravljenja.
