Urugvajska nogometna reprezentacija otvorit će svoje Svjetsko prvenstvo protiv Saudijske Arabije u ponoć s ponedjeljka na utorak po hrvatskom vremenu u Miamiju .

Uoči te utakmice, Urugvajci su imali brojne logističke izazova. Naime, zbog komplikacija s letom, “Los Charrúas” su u SAD stigli tek oko 24 sata prije početka susreta. Urugvajski mediji navode da je problem nastao jer zrakoplov koji je prvotno bio rezerviran za reprezentaciju nije imao potrebnu dozvolu za ulazak u SAD. Zbog toga je morao biti angažiran drugi avion.

Urugvajci nisu imali prijateljski doček niti prilikom konačnog dolaska u SAD. Društvenim mrežama kruži snimka pregleda urugvajskog autobusa, odnosno kofera i torbi igrača. Angažirani su policajci i psi namijenjeni pronalaskom droge, a urugvajski reprezentativci sve su pratili s nevjericom na licu.
