Ukraine will receive seven F-16 fighters from Belgium this year

Belgický server Le Vif v první polovině května uvedl, že Belgie Ukrajině předá 53 amerických stíhaček F-16. Už tehdy informoval, že by letos sedm strojů měla Ukrajina získat. Odkazoval se tehdy na předběžný interní plán belgického ministerstva obrany.

Podle tohoto dokumentu by Kyjev dalších pět letounů měl získat příští rok, 14 v roce 2028 a finálních 27 v roce 2029.

Jak ale připomněl Franken, Ukrajina stíhačky získá až poté, co Brusel obdrží objednané stíhačky F-35. „Bude to záviset na tom, kdy k nám dorazí F-35,“ vysvětlil.
