Grammyjem nominirani hip-hop producent Tay Keith preminuo je u Nashvilleu u dobi od 29 godina.
Policija je priopćila kako je glazbeni producent, rođen kao Brytavious Lakeith Chambers, jučer pronađen mrtav u svom stanu.

Keith, rodom iz Memphisa, bio je jedan od najutjecajnijih producenata svoje generacije. Glazbu je počeo stvarati već s 14 godina, a karijeru mu je krenula uzlaznom putanjom 2015. godine kroz suradnje s reperom Blac Youngsta.
Širu pažnju privukao je 2017. godine s viralnim hitom 'Shoot', koji je napravio u suradnji s BlocBoy JB-om. Svjetsku slavu dosegao je godinu kasnije kao producent pjesme 'Look Alive', na kojoj gostuje Drake.
Uslijedili su brojni veliki uspjesi, uključujući i produkciju hita 'Sicko Mode' Travisa Scotta iz 2018. godine, koji je postao prva hip-hop pjesma u povijesti koja je provela najmanje 30 tjedana u Top 10 ljestvice. Pjesma je donijela i nominacije za Grammy u kategorijama najbolje rap izvedbe i najbolje rap pjesme.
Radio je i s nekim od najvećih imena glazbene industrije, uključujući Beyoncé (Before I Let Go), Eminema (Not Alike) i Drakea (Nonstop).
'Glazba je bila moj izlaz'
Uz produkciju za druge izvođače, Keith je objavljivao i vlastitu glazbu. Njegov solo singl 'Pound Town' iz 2023. godine, u suradnji sa Sexyy Red, postao je veliki proboj za repericu, a kasnije je dobio i remix verziju s Nicki Minaj.
U ranijim intervjuima govorio je o teškom odrastanju u Memphisu te naglašavao kako mu je glazba bila izlaz iz teške životne sredine.
"Bilo je teško. Moraš raditi, moraš se izboriti za sebe. Svi u Memphisu imaju taj mentalitet borbe. Glazba je bila moj izlaz. Škola je bila plan B, za slučaj da glazba ne uspije. Nisam znao hoće li uspjeti, ali osjećao sam da će nešto od toga dovesti do uspjeha", rekao je svojevremeno za The Nashville Tennessean.
