I'm not going anywhere.
In Reutlingen, Baden-Württemberg, a large area of electricity has been cut off. Around 30,000 people are affected. According to security circles, it could be a left-wing extremist attack.
This is the first time I have seen this kind of thing.
In parts of Reutlingen, the electricity went out on Monday morning. There were about 30,000 people in 7,600 households without electricity, said Mayor Thomas Keck (SPD) at a press conference in the morning. The reason for the power failure is a fire in a substation at 1:43 am. At 5 am, it could be extinguished, according to Matthias Hertler of the fire brigade.
According to the assessment of security circles, the fire could have been deliberately set. There are no indications of a political background so far. Previously, the German Press Agency (dpa) had reported that the procedure pointed to left-wing extremist perpetrators and showed parallels with a corresponding act in Berlin. There are no indications of a possible mastermind abroad.
