Von der Leyen hopes that the EU will open more clusters in the negotiations with Ukraine in the summer

Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, expressed hope that the EU will open more negotiation clusters with Ukraine during the summer. She praised Kyiv's progress in Euro-integration reforms and emphasized the importance of both parties fulfilling their commitments. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy hopes the remaining five clusters will be opened in the coming weeks. However, reports suggest that Ukraine's plan to open all clusters by July 2026 might not be feasible due to time constraints for negotiations and coordination.

Президентка Єврокомісії Урсула фон дер Ляєн висловила сподівання, що протягом літа ЄС зможе відкрити більше переговорних кластерів для України.

Про це вона сказала після прибуття на засідання Європейської ради у Брюсселі, передає "Європейська правда".

Очільниця Єврокомісії привітала Україну із відкриттям першого кластера , про що було оголошено у понеділок на Міжурядовій конференції в Люксембурзі.

Фон дер Ляєн відзначила прогрес Києва в євроінтеграційних реформах та висловила сподівання на відкриття наступних кластерів протягом літа.

"Мені це дуже подобається, адже ви так наполегливо працювали, щоб рухатися вперед і провести необхідні реформи. Ми сподіваємося, що протягом літа зможемо відкрити ще більше кластерів. Це дуже важливо, адже коли Україна виконує свої зобов’язання, ми теж маємо виконувати свої", – заявила посадовиця.

Президент Володимир Зеленський розраховує, що у найближчі тижні в рамках переговорного процесу про вступ України до ЄС буде відкрито решту п'ять кластерів .

Як повідомляла "Європейська правда", Рада ЄС 17 червня розпочала технічну підготовку до відкриття кластерів 2-6 для України та Молдови.

Водночас, за даними "ЄП", план України відкрити всі кластери у перемовинах про вступ до ЄС у липні 2026 року може не справдитися через брак часу на необхідні переговори та узгодження.
