Iran to protest to FIFA travel restrictions for national team and officials

Iran's football federation announced it will file an official complaint with FIFA regarding strict travel restrictions imposed by the United States on Iran's national team and officials during the 2026 World Cup. According to Iran, these restrictions contradict principles of equality. The Iranian team had to relocate their training base to Mexico, and players are only allowed to enter the U.S. on match days before returning to Tijuana. Some officials are not permitted to enter U.S. territory. Iran and the U.S. were involved in military conflict until late February but signed a framework accord
