Patrijaršijski dvor u Beogradu bio je domaćin susreta koji je spojio dva sveta bliska i srpskom i grčkom narodu - veru i muziku. Patrijarh srpski Porfirije ugostio je poznatog grčkog pevača Nikosa Vertisa, koji ovih dana boravi u srpskoj prestonici uoči svog koncerta.
Patrijarh Porfirije poželeo je gostu srdačnu dobrodošlicu, dok je Vertis zahvalio na prijemu i istakao da se u Srbiju uvek vraća sa posebnim osećanjem bliskosti. Kako je rekao, veze između srpskog i grčkog naroda nisu samo istorijske, već se osećaju i danas kroz međusobno poštovanje, prijateljstvo i zajedničke duhovne korene.

Kada nastaje iz dobrote, ljubavi i iskrene želje da dotakne čoveka, ona lako pronalazi put do publike bez obzira na jezik, poreklo ili kulturu. Upravo zbog toga muzika često uspeva da poveže ljude koji se nikada nisu sreli, ali dele ista osećanja, nade i životna iskustva.
Takve misli posebno odjekuju u susretu poglavara Srpske pravoslavne crkve i umetnika čije pesme godinama pronalaze put do publike širom Balkana . Crkva i umetnost pripadaju različitim oblastima ljudskog stvaralaštva, ali obe, svaka na svoj način, podsećaju čoveka na značaj ljubavi, zajedništva i međusobnog poštovanja.
Susret u Patrijaršijskom dvoru zato nije bio samo prilika za razmenu kurtoaznih reči pred veliki koncert. Bio je to razgovor o vrednostima koje povezuju ljude i narode, o snazi vere koja nadahnjuje i o umetnosti koja gradi mostove tamo gde bi lako mogle da nastanu podele.
