Spider-Man Brand New Day new trailer: An isolated Tom Holland battles Hulk

The new trailer for 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' showcases an isolated Peter Parker, played by Tom Holland, living anonymously in New York City after erasing his identity from those he cares about. The film, set four years after 'No Way Home,' highlights Peter's struggle with his evolving powers and emotional burden. The trailer hints at a potential conflict involving Bruce Banner and the Hulk.

The new trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day offers a fuller look at actor Tom Holland’s return as Peter Parker, while highlighting a more isolated and uncertain phase in the Marvel hero’s story. Set four years after Spider-Man: No Way Home , the film follows Peter as he continues to live anonymously after choosing to erase himself from the memories of everyone he cared about.

The newly unveiled two-minute, 39-second trailer of Spider-Man: Brand New Day reveals a lonely reality for Peter Parker. With the world now completely oblivious to his secret identity, he has isolated himself and devoted his life entirely to protecting New York City as Spider-Man.

The latest footage, however, suggests that carrying that responsibility alone is beginning to weigh heavily on him, even as the story hints at a major clash involving Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner and the Hulk.

The upcoming film hints at Peter’s powers shifting in unexpected ways, leaving him struggling to maintain control. It also zeroes in on his fragile emotional state following the heavy sacrifices made in No Way Home . Completely isolated from everyone who once knew and loved him, Peter is shown watching from afar as their lives move on without him.

Several scenes indicate that Spider-Man's physical abilities may be evolving beyond his understanding, creating a threat that seems to be both internal and external. One of the highlights is Bruce Banner’s appearance, with Brand New Day teasing a significant confrontation between Spider-Man and the Hulk, though the reason for the clash has not been disclosed.

The promo’s closing moments also retain Spider-Man’s trademark humour. In one of the scenes, while surrounded by what appears to be a tactical team, Peter says he needed a moment to stretch before adding, “I’m not in high school anymore. Do you stretch? Are you a big stretcher? It’s so good for you.”

The film brings back several familiar faces alongside Holland, including Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo. New additions to the franchise include Sadie Sink, Tramell Tillman, Liza Colon-Zayas and Marvin Jones II.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is produced by Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal.

The film is set for a theatrical release in India on July 30 .
