Sarajevo is the host of the seminar on Christian-Muslim dialogue "Building Bridges"

The 24th meeting of the Christian-Muslim dialogue 'Building Bridges' will take place in Sarajevo from June 15 to 19 at the Gazi Husrev-beg Library. The event is chaired by Prof. Dr. Daniel A. Madigan, S.J., and features prominent Muslim and Christian scholars from around the world. This year's theme is 'Hope: Muslim and Christian perspectives,' focusing on discussions about hope in times of despair through shared readings of Islamic and Christian texts. Opening speeches will be delivered by Prof. Dr. David Mark Neuhaus, S.J., and Prof. Dr. Jerusha T. Rhodes.

Dvadesetčetvrti susreti kršćansko-muslimanskog dijaloga "Building Bridges" (Izgradnja mostova) bit će održani u Gazi Husrev-begovoj biblioteci u Sarajevu od 15. do 19. juna, a predsjedava im prof. dr. Daniel A. Madigan, S.J.

Ovogodišnja tema seminara je "Nada: muslimanske i kršćanske perspektive", a okupit će ugledne muslimanske i kršćanske učenjake iz više zemalja svijeta, prenosi MINA.

Tema seminara proistekla je iz prošlogodišnjih razgovora održanih u Njemačkoj, a fokusira se na pitanje nade u vremenu kada se mnogi suočavaju s osjećajem beznađa.

Učesnici će kroz dijalog i zajedničko čitanje islamskih i kršćanskih tekstova razmatrati na čemu se temelji vjernička nada i kakvu poruku nade religijske zajednice mogu ponuditi savremenom svijetu.

Otvaranje seminara bit će upriličeno u ponedjeljak, 15. juna, u 16 sati u Gazi Husrev-begovoj biblioteci. U okviru javnog predavanja uvodna izlaganja održat će prof. dr. David Mark Neuhaus, S.J., član isusovačke zajednice u Jerusalemu, i prof. dr. Jerusha T. Rhodes, vanredna profesorica islamskih studija iz New Yorka.

Skup će otvoriti dekan Fakulteta islamskih nauka u Sarajevu prof. dr. Mustafa Hasani, dok će seminar predstaviti njegov predsjedavajući prof. dr. Daniel A. Madigan.
