Russia has prepared revenge for St. Petersburg: Chernobyl again on target

Russian drones reportedly attacked a storage facility for spent nuclear fuel near the abandoned Chernobyl nuclear power plant, according to Ukrainian officials. The attack partially destroyed the building but no spent fuel was stored there at the time. A fire broke out but was extinguished, with no injuries reported. Russia has not commented on the alleged attack. Ukraine's foreign minister condemned Russia's actions as systematic and unacceptable.

This is not the first time Russian forces are putting Ukrainian nuclear facilities at risk. Russia’s nuclear blackmail and threats to nuclear safety are systemic, deliberate, and unacceptable. They deserve worldwide condemnation and increased pressure on the aggressor. @iaeaorg https://t.co/dqpzcG1Tfa
