Ruski ratni brod ⁠ispalio je hice upozorenja ⁠na jahtu koja plovi pod zastavom Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva jer im se "opasno približila" u La Mancheu, priopćilo je u utorak rusko ministarstvo obrane.

Jahta je promijenila kurs i udaljila se nakon što je fregata Admiral Grigorovich ispalila hice upozorenja nakon neuspjelih pokušaja uspostavljanja radijskog kontakta, priopćilo je ministarstvo.

Čamac s patrolnog broda HMS Tyne poslan je na jahtu kako bi prikupio podatke i provjerio sigurnost posade.

Britansko ministarstvo obrane priopćilo je da istražuje izvješća o incidentu u La Mancheu u blizini britanskih teritorijalnih voda. Nema izvještaja o ozlijeđenima.

Ruski ⁠ratni brod ⁠djelovao u skladu s pravilima međunarodne ⁠plovidbe te ‌poduzeo ⁠sve ⁠mjere kako bi spriječio ‌incident, izvijestila je državna novinska agencija RIA, citirajući rusko ministarstvo, prenosi Reuters.

Agencija TASS izvijestila je da je ruska fregata u više navrata pokušala kontaktirati jahtu, ali nije bilo odgovora.

U priopćenju objavljenom u ponedjeljak, britanska mornarica navela je da su dva britanska patrolna broda pratila fregatu Admiral Grigorovich u La Mancheu, zapadno od francuskog grada Bresta.

U nedjelju su britanski komandosi u La Mancheu presreli i preuzeli kontrolu nad ruskim tankerom iz takozvane 'flote u sjeni', koji je pod međunarodnim sankcijama. Bila je to prva operacija usmjerena na ometanje prihoda od izvoza nafte kojima se financira ruski rat u Ukrajini.
