Surprisingly wide support. Foreign influence is also being sought by voters of the party warning against censorship

A research project conducted by researchers from the Faculty of Social Sciences at Charles University and the STEM institute found that there is broad support across the political spectrum in the Czech Republic for measures against foreign influence. The study surveyed voters of different political parties, including those who supported the current liberal opposition and those who voted for ANO and SPD. The findings suggest that opinions on the need and form of countermeasures are not as divided as they might appear from social media and protest-related news.

Témat, na nichž se shodnou voliči ANO, SPD a stran liberální opozice, je opticky stále méně. Výzkum vnímání vlivu cizích zemí v Česku ale ukázal, že na některé aspekty této problematiky – konkrétně na potřebu a podobu protiopatření – názory až tak protichůdné nejsou. Šetření minulý týden představili řešitelé Vojtěch Bahenský a Sarah Komasová.

Zatímco ze sociálních sítí a zpráv o demonstracích by se zdálo, že Česko je rozštípnuté vedví, stačí nasvítit otázku z nepolitického úhlu – a ukáže se jiný obraz.

Výzkumný projekt řešitelů z Fakulty sociálních věd UK a ústavu STEM zmapoval, že možná protiopatření vůči vlivu cizích zemí v Česku mají slušnou podporu napříč politickým spektrem – a že rozdíly mezi voliči, kteří v roce 2021 dali hlas stranám současné liberální opozice, a těmi, kteří hlasovali pro ANO či SPD, nejsou nijak dramatické.

Než se do dat ponoříme, předešleme, že výzkumníci se mimo jiné tázali na devět možných protiopatření – od postihů pro šiřitele manipulací přes mediální gramotnost až po regulaci neziskovek financovaných aktéry ze zahraničí.
