Representatives of the city authorities, defenders and anti-fascists paid tribute to the fallen fighters and victims of fascism

On the occasion of the Day of Anti-Fascist Struggle, which is commemorated on June 22nd, officials from the city of Novi Vinodolski, representatives of anti-fascist organizations, and members of defense associations paid tribute to all fallen fighters and victims of fascism. Flowers were placed and candles lit at memorials including the Memorial to Fallen Fighters in the center of Novi Vinodolski, the central cross of the city cemetery, the Partisan Cemetery, and in front of the memorial to Slaviša Vajner Čiča.

NOVI VINODOLSKI   Ususret Danu antifašističke borbe, koji se obilježava 22. lipnja, danas su gradonačelnik Grada Novog Vinodolskog Tomislav Cvitković , predsjednik Gradskog vijeća Neven Pavelić , predsjednica Udruge antifašističkih boraca i antifašista Zdenka Vukelić , članovi braniteljskih udruga te predstavnici Grada odali počast svim poginulim borcima i žrtvama fašizma. Tom prigodom položeno je cvijeće i zapaljene svijeće ispred spomen-obilježja u holu zgrade Gradske uprave, kod spomenika Palim borcima u središtu Novog Vinodolskog, na središnjem križu gradskog groblja u Novom Vinodolskom, na Partizanskom groblju te ispred spomen-biste Slaviše Vajnera Čiče.

– Obilježavanjem ovog značajnog datuma čuva se uspomena na sve koji su se borili za slobodu te se ističu vrijednosti antifašizma, mira, solidarnosti i demokracije kao trajne vrijednosti suvremenog hrvatskog društva, poručuju iz Grada Novog Vinodolskog.
