Details of the tragic discovery in Ljubljana

Firefighters in Ljubljana retrieved a deceased person from the Ljubljana River at 13:49 today. The body was handed over to the appropriate authorities. Police have conducted an inspection but have not yet confirmed the identity of the man or determined the circumstances surrounding his death. Authorities stated that initial information does not suggest the death resulted from criminal activity. Further findings will be reported to the relevant state prosecution.

Danes popoldan, ob 13.49, so ob Zaloški cesti v Ljubljani gasilci GB Ljubljana iz reke Ljubljanice na kopno potegnili preminulo osebo in jo predali pristojnim službam, so sporočili na Upravi RS za zaščito in reševanje.

Kot so za Žurnal24 pojasnili na PU Ljubljana, so policisti opravili ogled, a identiteta moškega še ni potrjenja, kakor tudi še niso znane vse okoliščine dogodka, ki so predmet nadaljnje preiskave. "Po prvih podatkih ne kaže, da bi bila smrt osebe posledica kaznivega dejanja. O vseh ugotovitvah bo obveščeno pristojno državno tožilstvo," so še dodali.
