Pizza Hut changes ownership; Yum Brands sells it to LongRange Capital for $2.7 billion

Pizza Hut is being sold by its parent company, Yum Brands, to private equity firm LongRange Capital for $2.7 billion. The sale includes all operations except those in China, which will be acquired by Yum China Holdings Inc. for approximately $200 million. Yum Brands initiated this strategic review after reporting declining sales at comparable stores. Both transactions are expected to close in the third quarter.
