The Ministry of Science, Education, and Youth has announced the payment of a refund of 300 euros for nearly 90,000 employees in the education and science sectors starting June 17. The refund applies to public sector employees who take at least a proportional part of their annual leave during the current year, regardless of whether they work full-time or part-time. On Wednesday, 17,000 employees of schools, colleges and institutes, announced the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth. The regression for the use of annual leave amounts to 300 euros, and is paid to employees in public services in accordance with the Basic Collective Agreement. The right to regression is granted to employees in public services who in the current year use at least a proportional part of the annual leave, regardless of whether they work full-time or part-time. Employees who are hired after or at the time of payment are not at work due to prolonged illness, maternity or parental leave and similar reasons, the regression is paid no later than seven days before the start of the use of annual leave.

In the higher education system, rewards will be paid to 15,543 employees, for a total of more than 4,6 million euros. In the science system, 2596 employees exercise the right to rewards, and the total amount of rewards for them is 778,800 euros. In total, almost 90,000 employees in education and science will be paid.
