Most municipalities with assessment of storm supports completed by 30 June, Government assures

The Portuguese government has assured that by June 30, the 'overwhelming majority' of municipalities will have completed or will be close to completing the evaluation of all financial aid requests for rebuilding homes damaged by storms at the beginning of the year. Some municipalities may not meet this deadline, but the government intends to assist those that remain behind after this date.

Até ao próximo dia 30 de Junho, a “esmagadora maioria” dos municípios terá concluído ou estará perto de concluir a avaliação de todos pedidos de apoio financeiro para a reconstrução de habitações danificadas na sequência das tempestades do início do ano, ainda que alguns não consigam cumprir esse objectivo. A garantia foi dada esta quarta-feira pelo ministro da Economia e da Coesão Territorial, Manuel Castro Almeida, ressalvando que a intenção é, depois dessa data, tentar ajudar as autarquias que ainda estão atrasadas no processo.
