Francuski predsjednik Emmanuel Macron u četvrtak je oprezno reagirao na sporazum između Irana i SAD-a o okončanju rata na Bliskom istoku, navodeći kako nije siguran da je rat "potpuno završen".

- Uvijek je bolje imati sporazum nego rat, posebno kada postoji rizik od eskalacije, istaknuo je francuski predsjednik, govoreći na France 2 o summitu G7 kojim je predsjedao od ponedjeljka do srijede u mjestu Evian-les-Bains.

- Ulazimo u novu fazu, fazu suradnje i dijaloga, koja je bolja od rata, dodao je.

Međutim, šef države također je izrazio sumnje.

Kao i u Evianu, Emmanuel Macron ponovio je spremnost Francuske da radi, zajedno s drugim zemljama poput Velike Britanije, na obnavljanju pomorskog prometa u Hormuškom tjesnacu.

U vrlo neočekivanom potezu, američki predsjednik Donald Trump potpisao je sporazum s Iranom dok je bio u Versaillesu u srijedu navečer, gdje ga je Emmanuel Macron pozvao na večeru nakon summita G7.

Francuski predsjednik izvijestio je da je odluka američkog predsjednika o potpisivanju sporazuma "bila prilično spontana".

Što se tiče libanonskog aspekta sukoba, Macron je pozvao izraelskog premijera Benjamina Netanyahua da "pokaže osjećaj odgovornosti i racionalnosti", tvrdeći da je ofenziva protiv proiranskog Hezbolaha u južnom Libanonu "dugoročno suprotna interesima Izraela".

- Hezbolah je rizik za Izrael, to je apsolutno istina", ali sigurnost te države "ne može se jamčiti osvajanjem susjednog teritorija, rekao je, naglašavajući da Netanyahuova politika, kako u Libanonu tako i u Gazi i na Zapadnoj obali, "potiče ogorčenost i nasilje među stanovništvom regije".
