O lateral esquerdo é o primeiro reforço oficializado para a equipa de José Mourinho, que vai regressar ao Real Madrid, depois de ter sido uma das promessas eleitorais do presidente Florentino Pérez.
Formado no Espanyol e no FC Barcelona, Cucurella passou por Eibar, Getafe e Brighton, antes de se mudar em 2022/23 para o Chelsea, ao serviço do qual conquistou o Mundial de clubes e a Liga Conferência.
