Republicans have the upper hand in the battle for an open House seat in Maine as voters head to the polls Tuesday.

Rep. Jared Golden (D) is leaving his seat in the Pine Tree State’s 2nd Congressional District, and Democrats are duking it out for a spot on the November ballot. Cook Political Report rates the race as leaning in the GOP’s favor.

President Trump endorsed former Gov. Paul LePage (R), who is the presumptive nominee.

State Sen. Joe Baldacci, state Auditor Matthew Dunlap and Jordan Wood, a former chief of staff to Rep. Katie Porter, are seeking the Democratic nod.

Democrat Chellie Pingree is seeking reelection in the 1st Congressional District.

Polls close at 8 p.m. Follow Decision Desk HQ’s live results below.
