Een 17-jarige jongen is door de jeugdrechter naar een gesloten instelling gestuurd, omdat hij een leerkracht zware klappen heeft gegeven. De vrouw is voorlopig werkongeschikt.

De feiten speelden zich vorige week donderdag af in De Stemstroom, een school van het Stedelijk Onderwijs Antwerpen, op het Eilandje. Dat schrijft ATV en dat is aan VRT NWS bevestigd door het parket.

De aanleiding was een discussie over een gsm. De jongen is opgepakt en voor de jeugdrechter verschenen. Die besliste om hem 14 dagen naar een gesloten instelling te sturen. Er zijn ook voorwaarden aan verbonden. Na die 2 weken wordt er een evaluatie gemaakt.

De leerkracht is tijdelijk werkongeschikt.
