L’importanza del primo posto
Hamilton ha aggiunto che “le vittorie sono tutte speciali a modo loro, ma questa è qualcosa di diverso. Da giovane guardavo in tv i successi della Ferrari. Da quando corro qui, ho sempre guardato la televisione e mi chiedevo come sarebbe stato vincere con quella macchina e ora è successo. Mi sono preparato alla grande, allenandomi duramente per essere oggi qui. Ho fatto e sto facendo tantissimo lavoro dietro le quinte”.
Un ringraziamento anche e soprattutto a chi, pur nei momenti di difficoltà durati mesi, non ha mai smesso di dare fiducia ad Hamilton sapendo che avrebbe avuto ancora tanto da dare come pilota.
“La Ferrari mi sta dando fiducia nei cambiamenti che abbiamo apportato - ha aggiunto il britannico - Credono e si fidano delle decisioni e delle mie richieste e stiamo lentamente iniziando a vedere che tutto sta andando al suo posto. Sono felice della mia vita, mi trovo in una buona posizione. Non c’è niente di più bello che guidare una F1”.
Infine, la domanda per la lotta sul titolo che in questo momento vede al primo posto Kimi
Antonelli. “La accetto. C’è ancora molta, molta strada da fare e la Mercedes ha ancora un ottimo passo, come potete vedere. Ma continueremo a lavorare e a cercare di colmare il divario. Non è finita, questo è sicuro”.
