The Icelandic sports couple Kristófer Acox and Guðrún Elísabet Björgvinsdóttir have welcomed their first child, a boy. They announced the news on Instagram, expressing excitement and happiness. Parið greindi frá þessu á Instagram í gær og skrifaði:

„Draumaprinsinn okkar lét sjá sig síðastliðinn föstudag, þremur dögum fyrir settan dag. Mæðginunum heilsast vel og mamman stóð sig eins og hetja. Foreldrarnir slást um að fá að knúsa hann og elska hann. Við erum svo spennt fyrir lífinu með þér 🩵“

Kristófer og Guðrún greindu frá sambandi sínu sumarið 2024 en þau voru þá bæði leikmenn á mála hjá Val — Kristófer í körfuboltanum en Guðrún Elísabet í fótboltanum.

Knattspyrnudeild Vals tilkynnti hins vegar í nóvember síðastliðnum að samningur yrði ekki endurnýjaður við Guðrúnu, um leið og félagið kvaddi fleiri sterka leikmenn. Kristófer gagnrýndi þá félagið í ummælakerfi og sagði áhugavert að sjá hvernig liðið ætlaði að keppa um titla næstu ári, eða hvort það myndi hreinlega festast í neðri deildum eftir ákvarðanir stjórnar. Valskonur sitja nú í þriðja neðsta sæti Bestu deildarinnar.
