KrF will not cooperate with Left

The Christian Democratic Party (KrF) leader Dag-Inge Ulstein has launched the 'Common Sense Alliance,' aiming to collaborate more closely with the Progress Party (Sp) and exclude the Left Party (Venstre). The alliance includes the Conservative Party (Høyre) and the Forward Party (Fremskrittspartiet). Ulstein highlights areas of agreement among the four parties, such as stricter family immigration policies. He criticizes Venstre for not participating in these issues despite having opportunities to do so. Venstre leader Guri Melby dismisses the alliance, stating it does not improve people's live

Foto: Ole Berg-Rusten / NTB

- Locks away huge amounts of money

The article discusses the Norwegian government's plan to provide 35 billion kroner in subsidies for floating offshore wind energy development. Some politicians, industry actors, and trade unions oppose the proposal, fearing it will slow down the development of floating wind power.

Right proposes quota for new graduates in the state

The Norwegian Conservative Party (Høyre) has proposed requiring a certain percentage of new hires in public agencies to be recent graduates, aiming to address the issue of many newly graduated master's students being unemployed. The proposal has received support from the Liberal Party (Venstre), which suggests setting a target of 10 percent of new hires in the public sector to be recent graduates. However, the Minister of Research and Higher Education, Sigrun Aasland (from the Labour Party, Ap), opposes this approach, calling it micromanagement and emphasizing the need for thorough research on
