A horse went wild, a teenager fell from a carriage, and he succumbed to his injuries.

An 18-year-old was seriously injured after falling from a horse-drawn carriage in New York City's Central Park. The accident occurred when the horse became agitated and ran through the park, causing the passenger to fall. The horse had been in service for only six weeks. This incident adds to growing concerns over the safety of horse-drawn carriages, with critics arguing they are inhumane for horses and dangerous for pedestrians. The nonprofit organization Central Park Conservancy has previously supported banning horse-drawn carriages in the park following recent incidents.
