Kate's royal return to Ascot! Princess brings the sunshine in yellow as she arrives at the races with William after a two-year absence

Princess Catherine returned to Royal Ascot after a two-year absence, arriving in a yellow dress from Roksanda. She was accompanied by Prince William, and their outfits were coordinated with yellow accents. Catherine wore jewelry including Queen Elizabeth II's diamond earrings and Princess Diana's pearl necklace. Her mother, Carole Middleton, also attended in a reused dress from Pippa Middleton's wedding.

The  Princess of Wales  brought the sunshine to Royal Ascot after a two-year absence as she arrived at the races wearing a bright yellow dress today.

Catherine, 44, joined the royal family's carriage procession alongside her husband, the Prince of Wales, as they travelled behind the King and Queen.

The future Queen's £1,095 daffodil yellow outfit is from the label Roksanda, and Catherine paired it with a hat from Jane Taylor Millinery, while Prince William pinned yellow flowers to his lapel to complement his wife's ensemble.

This is the third time Catherine has donned the frock, having previously worn it on a State Visit to Jamaica and at the Wimbledon championships in 2022.

The mother-of-three carried an ivory satin clutch from Anya Hindmarch, believed to be worth £395, and rewore her cream-coloured Gianvito Rossi suede pumps.

Catherine's outfit also included sentimental details, such as the late Queen Elizabeth's gorgeous diamond chandelier earrings and Princess Diana 's three-strand pearl necklace.

The princess's mother, Carole Middleton, also made the case for repurposed fashion as she arrived at Ascot today wearing the same dress she wore to Pippa Middleton 's wedding nine years ago.

Carole, 71, cut a stylish figure in the blush pink Catherine Walker coat dress, which she paired with a matching hat and shoes, both from Emmy  London , as Carole happily posed for pictures alongside her daughter-in-law Alizee Thevenet.

Racegoers were delighted to see the Princess riding in the second royal carriage alongside Prince William , 43, after she was forced to skip the event in 2025 while trying to 'find the right balance' after her cancer  treatment.

The last time Catherine attended Ascot was in 2023, when the future Queen famously wore a 'tomato red' Alexander McQueen dress - proving Kate is always one step ahead of fashion trends.

The fiery hue of Kate's frock is Ascot's inaugural colour of the year, as the official lookbook reads: 'Bright tomato is the kind of colour that doesn't just join the party at Royal Ascot - it leads it.'

Catherine looked elated to be back in the Windsor Enclosure, enjoying the company of other royals , including Lady Sarah Chatto  and her husband Daniel Chatto, as well as her mother, Carole Middleton .

She was joined in Berkshire today by King Charles, 77, Queen Camilla, 78, who looked typically elegant in a cream coat dress from Dior, and Princess Anne.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh opted for coordinated black outfits, as Sophie appeared to hold onto her hat as the wind threatened to take it off her head.

Also in attendance was Lady Gabriella Windsor, the daughter of the Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, who chose a stunning pastel blue dress for the prestigious British racing event.

Catherine previously wore the dress from Roksanda in Jamaica when she and Prince William embarked on a Royal Tour of the Caribbean in 2022
