Britanski televizijski voditelj Jeremy Clarkson je v najnovejši epizodi serije Clarkson’s Farm razkril, da so mu diagnosticirali raka prostate. Znani televizijec je svojo obliko raka opisal kot agresivno.

Novico je Clarkson razkril v svoji seriji, ki je bila predvajana v sredo, pri čemer pa ni jasno, kdaj točno je bila posneta – sama serija je namreč nastajala v letih 2024 in 2025. Da bo zaključek sezone "težko gledati", je sicer malo pred premiernim predvajanjem napovedal tudi na družbenih omrežjih.

Danes 66-letni voditelj na posnetku o svoji diagnozi obvesti sodelujoča pri seriji, Kaleba Coopra in Charlieja Irelanda , ki sta bila oba vidno šokirana ob novici. Nekdanji voditelj oddaje Top Gear je opisal bolezen kot "agresivno" in povedal, da so mu v okviru zdravljenja odstranili del prostate. "Prejšnji teden sem 'izginil' in opravil biopsijo; gre za raka, ki je agresiven, a je res v zelo zgodnji fazi," je dejal.
Clarkson je dodal, da je za to vedel "že od maja", a, kot omenjeno, ni jasno, o katerem letu je govor. V ločenem pogovoru s Cooprom v naslednji epizodi je Clarkson potrdil vrsto raka in mu povedal: "Prostata, 10 odstotkov je ni več, tistih 10 odstotkov, ki je rakava."
Pozneje je Clarkson sovoditelju Geraldu razkril še, da je imel operacijo : "Zdaj le še držimo pesti, da je uspela. Še ne vemo ." Epizoda in s tem tudi peta sezona serije se je nato končala s prizorom, ko Clarkson leži v bolniški postelji. " Peto sezono smo začeli z mano v bolnišnici in tudi končujemo jo v bolnišnici," ob tem pove voditelj, ki je oktobra 2024 pristal v bolnišnici, kjer so mu vstavili žilno opornico.
"Zdravljenje je, recimo temu, šlo malo narobe, zato bom še nekaj časa tukaj. Nič ne smem jesti, ne vem, kaj se bo zgodilo," je dejal v sklepu pete sezone serije in dodal: "Ampak če bo vse uspešno, se bomo videli v šesti sezoni, če pa ne, se ne bomo."
Eden najuspešnejših in obenem najbolj kontroverznih britanskih televizijskih voditeljev je bil skoraj tri desetletja osrednji člen avtomobilistične oddaje Top Gear, ko ga je BBC odslovil, pa je snemal različne projekte, zadnja leta resničnostno oddajo o življenju na kmetiji.
