Israel has cut ties with the head of European diplomacy over comparisons to apartheid

Israel has decided to cut all contacts with European Union High Representative Kaja Kallas following her comparison of Israeli policy to apartheid in South Africa. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar called her remarks 'blood libel' and stated that she did not refute or clarify them, leading to Israel's decision to end communication with her.

Ni oko radikala Ben-Gvira nema konsenzusa u EU

Israel’s foreign minister cuts ties with top EU diplomat over ‘apartheid’ remark

Israel's foreign minister, Gideon Saar, announced that he would cut ties with EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas following reports that she compared Israel to the apartheid regime in South Africa. The decision comes amid heightened tensions between Israel and the EU, exacerbated by the ongoing Gaza war and incidents involving Israeli settlers in the West Bank. Saar criticized Kallas for making 'severe' comments without providing any clarification.

Bias read (Right): The article frames the EU diplomat's comparison of Israel to an apartheid regime as a 'severe statement,' and emphasizes the Israeli minister's accusation of 'blatant unfairness' and 'obsessive' behavior toward Israel. The language used supports the perspective that the EU is biased against Israel,
