AUSTRALIJA je rezultatom 2:0 pobijedila Tursku u prvom kolu skupine D. Pobjedu ekipi izbornika Tonyja Popovića na stadionu BC Place u Vancouveru donijeli su Nestory Irankunda i Connor Metcalfe. Turci su dominirali gotovo cijelom utakmicom, ali Australci su ih kažnjavali ubojitom ofenzivnom tranzicijom.
