Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Quick Reaction Corps (Korpasgat) of the Indonesian Air Force conducted a joint exercise with the United States Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) to strengthen personnel combat readiness and interoperability.
Korpasgat said in a press release cited on Monday that the drill was held in Bandung District, West Java, on Sunday (June 7).
“The Korpasgat and AFSOC concluded the drill dubbed Direct Action Ground Reconnaissance 2026 exercise yesterday,” Korpasgat spokesperson Colonel Jaito Novyan Sulistiyono stated.
He explained that the combat exercise involved a range of scenarios, including mission planning, airstrike target identification, and combat medical evacuation. All scenarios emphasized a high level of speed, precision, and coordination.
“This activity served as an effective platform to enhance interoperability and align tactics, techniques, and procedures,” he added, noting that the drill was expected to ensure personnel readiness for future joint operations.
Sulistiyono further remarked that the exercise achieved optimal results, with no damaged equipment or injured personnel reported.
