The Haaland scoring caused Bergen to shake hit the seismometer

A seismic station in Bergen recorded noticeable activity during Norway's World Cup match against Iraq, with the largest spikes occurring when Erling Braut Haaland scored a goal. The Norwegian Research Centre for Earthquake Engineering (NORSAR) explained that the station, typically used to measure movements during earthquakes, can also detect large-scale human movement. På pub i Haalands hjemby Bryne var det ellevill jubel da Jærbuen sendte Norge i ledelsen.

Også på Ullevål sto jubelen i taket. Der er tusenvis av ivrige fotballfans samlet for å se Norges debutkamp i årets VM.

Få minutter senere utlignet Irak, og den norske fansen ble tydelig preget. Sorgen var imidlertid kortvarig, da Haaland igjen sendte Norge i ledelsen.

- Det er bare å nyte fotballkampen og være snill med sidemannen. Vi regner med dette kommer til å gå veldig bra, sier han til Dagbladet.
