A plane carrying skydivers crashed near the airport in Butler, Missouri, resulting in the deaths of all twelve occupants. According to officials, the aircraft took off shortly before the crash and then turned back before crashing near a road close to the airport. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Dem Sender Fox4 zufolge war die Maschine kurz zuvor gestartet und hatte dann kehrtgemacht, bevor sie in der Nähe einer Straße unweit des Airports abstürzte. Nach Angaben des Katastrophenschutzes kamen der Pilot und elf Hobbyfallschirmspringer bei dem Unglück ums Leben. Die Unglücksursache ist Gegenstand von Ermittlungen.
