Arrest in Wels: Man locked partner up for days

A 28-year-old woman reported her boyfriend to the police in Wels after he allegedly locked her in a room for several days and threatened to kill her. The man also reportedly assaulted her. Following discussions with the public prosecutor's office in Wels, the 34-year-old was arrested and taken into custody at the Wels prison, according to the police.

Eine 28-Jährige hat Mittwochmittag bei der Polizei in Wels ihren Freund angezeigt, weil dieser sie eingesperrt und mit dem Umbringen bedroht haben soll. Die Frau gab an, vor ihrer Flucht mehrere Tage nicht aus der versperrten Wohnung gekommen zu sein.

Ihr Partner habe sie in der Zeit auch misshandelt. Nach Rücksprache mit der Staatsanwaltschaft Wels wurde der 34-Jährige Mittwochabend festgenommen und in die Justizanstalt Wels eingeliefert, so die Polizei.
