The devastated family of a man shot dead in Brent have made a desperate plea for information after police named and released an image of a man they want to speak with over the murder .

Simon Whyte died after being shot on Harrow Road, at the junction with West End Close, Stonebridge on Friday, December 19, 2025.

Police are now looking to speak to 41-year-old Pierre Thompson, from West London , as part of their enquiries.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Mr Thompson is urged to contact the Met Police or independent charity Crimestoppers, which is offering a reward of up to £10,000 for information leading to his arrest.

Speaking of the family's grief, Simon's wife Simone said she is "completely lost and distraught" after losing her husband of 25 years. In a plea for information, she said the family "deserve answers, closure, and justice" as questions remain unanswered six months on.

"Simon was my husband of 25 years, my best friend, and my soulmate," Simone said. "I am completely lost and distraught without him. He was deeply loved by our family, and his loss has left a hole in our lives that can never be filled.

"Simon was murdered on the 19 December 2025 at approximately 9.35pm. Since that day, our family has been living with unimaginable grief, heartache and anxiety that his killer hasn’t been found.

"Every day, we are reminded of the life that was taken from us and the questions that remain unanswered. It has now been six months since Simon's passing, and we, as a family, deserve answers, closure, and justice for Simon.

"No family should have to endure the pain of losing a loved one without knowing the full truth of what happened."

Detective Inspector Jim Barry, who is leading the investigation, said: "Today marks six months since Simon’s death and his family and friends are continuing to come to terms with their loss.

"They are desperate for answers as to what happened that evening and we have already carried out extensive enquiries to build up a picture of the events of that night.

"We are now appealing to the public to help us progress our investigation and would urge anyone who knows the whereabouts of Pierre Thompson to contact police or independent charity Crimestoppers immediately."

Alexa Loukas, London Regional Manager at Crimestoppers, said: "Six months on from Simon Whyte’s tragic death, his family are still waiting for answers and justice. We are urging anyone who has information about Pierre Thompson’s whereabouts to come forward and do the right thing.

"Crimestoppers is completely independent of the police, and you can contact us 100 per cent anonymously. If you know something, however small it may seem, please speak up – your information could make a critical difference in helping bring those responsible to justice."
