Former Sinaloa Investigative Police Chief seeks early retirement; US requested extradition for alleged links to organized crime

The former head of the State Attorney General's Investigation Police, Jorge Contreras Núñez, is seeking early retirement. Culiacán, Sin. 18 de junio. - El exjefe de la Policía de Investigación de la Fiscalía General del Estado, Jorge Contreras Núñez , uno de los nueve funcionarios y exfuncionarios que pesan en su contra una acusación en Estados Unidos por ligas con grupos de la delincuencia organizada , gestiona su jubilación anticipada.

Los miembros de la LXV: Legislatura local dieron lectura a la iniciativa del ejecutivo estatal que propone conceder pensión por retiro anticipado , al exjefe policiaco, con un monto de 67 mil pesos mensuales, por lo que se envió a la Comisión de Hacienda para su análisis y dictamen.

El Congreso del Estado, tendrá que analizar esta iniciativa del jefe del ejecutivo estatal, para determinar si procede otorgarle dicha pensión anticipada , a Contreras Núñez, el cual apareció en una lista de diez funcionarios, un Senador y exfuncionarios, sobre los que el gobierno de Estados Unidos solicitó su detención con miras a su extradición .

Sobre esta acusación, el gobernador del estado, Rubén Rocha Moya , el dia primero de mayo solicitó licencia temporal para separarse del cargo, lo mismo sucedió con el alcalde de Culiacán, Juan de Dios Gámez Mendívil.
