Nos hemos tirado un par de semanas escuchando sin parar la palabra Curazao. Muchos, entre los que me incluyo, desconocíamos que fuera a jugar el Mundial y, para qué negarlo, tampoco éramos capaces de situarlo en el mapa. Precisamente a raíz de que comenzaba el ... campeonato y, sobre todo, después de su primer partido con Alemania —la goleada encajada es lo de menos—, se ha sabido más de esta pequeña isla: país autónomo de los Países Bajos aunque está en el Caribe; apenas cuenta con unos 170.000 habitantes; y su capital es Willemstad. Y, aunque por supuesto es curioso conocer más de la selección más pequeña de toda la competición, yo prefiero centrarme en el caso de una región todavía menor y mucho más cercana: Los Palacios y Villafranca.
