La Coordinadora Nacional de Trabajadores de la Educación ( CNTE ) rechazó la propuesta presentada por el gobierno federal para atender las demandas relacionadas con el sistema de pensiones, y reiteró su exigencia de sostener una mesa de diálogo directa con la presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum , al considerar que fue ella quien asumió durante la campaña el compromiso de revisar la Ley del ISSSTE de 2007 .
En entrevista con medios de comunicación, el secretario general de la Sección 9 de la Ciudad de México, Pedro Hernández Morales, informó que las reuniones sostenidas del 2 al 4 de junio con los titulares de las secretarías de Gobernación y Educación Pública, así como con el director general del ISSSTE, derivaron únicamente en una respuesta parcial sobre la desaparición de la Unidad del Sistema para la Carrera de las Maestras y los Maestros ( Usicamm ).
Respecto a la principal demanda del movimiento, la abrogación de la Ley del ISSSTE de 2007, señaló que la propuesta entregada por el director del instituto, Martí Batres, consiste en trasladar las cuentas individuales de los trabajadores a PensionISSSTE , planteamiento que, aseguró, no resuelve el problema de fondo porque mantiene el esquema de cuentas individuales.

Hernández sostuvo que la CNTE mantiene su exigencia de regresar a un sistema solidario de pensiones y afirmó que la propuesta gubernamental no garantiza jubilaciones suficientes para los trabajadores afiliados al ISSSTE.
Como alternativa, indicó que la Sección 9 plantea que las cuentas individuales de los trabajadores sean incorporadas al régimen del Décimo Transitorio, esquema que, señaló, permitiría garantizar una pensión vitalicia para quienes cotizan en el instituto.

El dirigente afirmó que la Coordinadora se mantiene a la espera de una contrapropuesta por parte del gobierno federal y advirtió que las movilizaciones continuarán mientras no exista una respuesta satisfactoria a las demandas centrales del movimiento.

Asimismo, aseguró que miles de maestros permanecen en el plantón instalado en el Centro Histórico de la Ciudad de México pese a las condiciones climáticas y las dificultades propias de permanecer en la vía pública.

En ese contexto, señaló que el conflicto magisterial coincide con otras movilizaciones sociales, entre ellas las encabezadas por madres buscadoras, familiares de los 43 estudiantes desaparecidos de Ayotzinapa, transportistas y organizaciones campesinas, cuyos reclamos también, dijo, carecen de respuesta gubernamental.
Sobre las declaraciones del director del ISSSTE respecto al costo que tendría modificar el sistema de pensiones, Hernández cuestionó las cifras difundidas por las autoridades y sostuvo que el actual modelo de Afores beneficia principalmente a instituciones financieras privadas.

El dirigente también rechazó los señalamientos que vinculan a la CNTE con grupos de derecha y acusó una campaña de estigmatización contra el movimiento magisterial. Sostuvo que la Coordinadora no busca impedir la realización de la Copa Mundial de Futbol 2026 ni afectar a los aficionados, sino aprovechar la atención pública que genera el torneo para visibilizar sus demandas y exigir una solución al conflicto.
