SN!K Cultural Centre in Saint-Niklaas sells record number of tickets on first day of sale

Cultuurcentrum SN!K in Sint-Niklaas heeft op de 1e verkoopdag van het nieuwe cultuurseizoen meer dan 15.000 tickets verkocht. Dat is bijna de helft meer dan bij de start vorig jaar, en ook het hoogste aantal ooit op 1 dag. Het cultuurcentrum kreeg vorige maand nog een nieuwe naam en huisstijl.

SN!K heeft zijn start niet gemist. Aanvankelijk waren er twijfels over de naam SN!K, maar de ticketcijfers tonen aan dat het publiek de weg naar het nieuwe aanbod snel heeft gevonden. In het 1e verkoopweekend van het nieuwe cultuurseizoen werden ruim 17.000 tickets verkocht.

Niet alleen de tickets doen het goed. Ook voor vriendenpassen en abonnementen loopt het storm. "Het voorbije weekend bestelden al bijna 1.000 mensen een vriendenpas of ander nieuw abonnement. Vorig seizoen waren dat er iets meer dan 800 over het volledige seizoen", zegt directeur Pieter Bracke.

"Meer nog dan die cijfers doet het deugd wat we de voorbije dagen sterk hebben gevoeld: er is veel goesting, vertrouwen en nieuwsgierigheid. Mensen hebben massaal hun weg gevonden naar SN!K, omarmen onze werking en stappen enthousiast samen met ons dit nieuwe hoofdstuk in. We kijken nu al uit naar de effectieve start in september."

Voor sommige voorstellingen ging het razendsnel: 'Moeder Theresa was razend!' was al na 5 minuten uitverkocht. Drie minuten later was ook 'Testament' volledig volgeboekt, en na een kwartiertje volgde Circus Ronaldo. "Intussen zijn er al 18 voorstellingen uitverkocht", meer dan 1.000 mensen staan op een wachtlijst", klinkt het bij SN!K.
