“We’re going through the motions here at these bullshit courts,” Krauatungalung elder Uncle Robbie Thorpe told those gathered outside the Victorian Supreme Court of Appeal last Wednesday .

“It’s not our law. We had our law here.”

Thorpe then entered the court to continue his attempt to have King Charles III charged with genocide against the First Nations peoples of Australia. He initially attempted to instigate a private prosecution against Charles in 2023, which ended when the magistrate refused to issue proceedings.
